Taytay Bay offers some of the best diving destinations in Palawan. The reefs surrounding Nabat Island and Pabellon Island are popular dive sites where divers may have close encounters with big fishes, sea turtles, and even Blacktip sharks, as well as a wide variety of colorful tropical reef fishes. Other reef areas including Black Rock and those surrounding the islands of Dinot, Beton, Imbaludan, and Tecas are ideal for beginner dives.

Lake Manguao is perhaps the best place to kayak in Taytay. It remains calm year round many species of wildlife can be observed in the area, particularly early morning up to around 9am. There are also several rivers draining into Malampaya Sound where kayaking activities may be offered. On calm days, kayaking activities can be done as well in the islands of Beton, and around the island of Pabellon. In Beton Island, kayaking is ideal particularly towards the mangrove forest where a colony of giant flying foxes roost on mangrove trees.

Taytay is home to more than 200 species of birds, including 138 species in Lake Manguao alone. Lake Manguao is famous for congregating colonies of Philippine ducks, while at the same time, it is home to at least 10 bird species that can only be found in Palawan. There are also at least seven species of globally threatened birds that can be observed in the lake. Best time to visit is during early morning before the sunrise. Best season is during the winter months (December to February) when congregating migratory birds make their stopover in the lake.

The Coral and Giant Clam Garden is a community based sustainable tourism in Taytay Bay operated by the local community of Pamantolon and Canique. This activity showcases the conservation of giant clam and corals in Tecas Reef Marine Protected Area and its adjoining Dinet Island.
Taytay is a quaint seaside town that still has the typical local vibe of a small community with peaceful and quiet, provincial living. Mt. Capoas, which stands guard over Malampaya Sound is gaining popularity among local hikers and mountaineers. For those opting to see waterfalls, Cuyaoyao Nature Park features three-tiered water falls along a two kilometer stretch of Cuyaoyao River. For Cuyaoyao Nature Park, the best time to visit is during the rainy season when water flow at the falls is at its best.

Capoas, kindly coordinate your trip with the Municipal Tourism Development and Management Office of Taytay (taytaypalawantourism@gmail.com) for access to the site at least two weeks prior to your planned visit. Since Mt. Capoas in within the Malampaya Sound Protected Landscape and Seascape, you are also required to pay the corresponding Protected Area Fees at the DENR-CENRO Office in Taytay. All hiking and trekking activities in Mt. Capoas are subject to Php1,000.00 Wilderness Pass payable at the Municipal Tourism Development and Management Office.
