Banking and Currency Services
Taytay currently has one national bank, the Development Bank of the Philippines, and two rural banks, including BDO Network Bank and First Consolidated Bank. DBP and BDO have ATMs where international and local cards may withdraw cash 24/7. For holders of local Philippine bank cards, withdrawals may be made at Palawan Pawnshop branches for a minimal charge of Php30-40.00 depending on your bank. There is also a money order service available either through Xoom, Western Union, and other International Money remittance services. Foreign currency exchange is available at all branches of pawnshops in town.
At present, all local businesses in Taytay, save for some high end resorts, operates mostly on cash basis.
